The Veterinary Pathology Group form a Strategic Alliance with Woodley Veterinary Diagnostics to Provide a Complete Point of Care Testing Solution

Published: 29th July 2021

The Veterinary Pathology Group (VPG), a member of SYNLAB, today announced that they have formed a strategic alliance with Woodley Veterinary Diagnostics to provide veterinary practices with a complete laboratory Point of Care Testing (POCT) solution.

The alliance with Woodley Veterinary Diagnostics, who are part of Woodley Equipment Company Ltd, will enable the provision of a wide range of in-house laboratory analysers for veterinary practices in the UK and Ireland – complementing VPG’s current services while delivering diagnostic excellence for customers and patients.

The complete laboratory system includes the InSight V5 Haematology Analyser, InSight V-CHEM Chemistry Analyser, InSight V-IA Immunoassay Analyser, InSight qLabs Coagulation Analyser and InSight Urinalysis Urine Strip Reader. The customer centric analysers, which use the latest innovative technology, are easy to use, and integrate with most major practice systems. The instruments can be purchased as a complete laboratory system or stand-alone and there are flexible options available for those practices looking to buy or rent.

Customer centricity goes beyond the instruments and continues into the wrap around services. Practices investing in the solution will benefit from a dedicated on-the-road Account Management team who provide in-practice support including installation, training and on-going advice, as well as access to technical support and ongoing product development from a team Biomedical Scientists and Service Engineers.

Co-founder and Managing Director of VPG, Andrew Torrance commented “The laboratory services of VPG are founded on approachability and diagnostic excellence. In joining with Woodley to bring Point of Care Testing to veterinary practices we are bringing the same values to practice laboratories, a perfect match of experience and innovation.”

Managing Director of Woodley, Mike Wickham commented “Woodley has a long association with the Laboratories and people at VPG and have common values, which from Woodley include delivering affordable, innovative laboratory Point of Care solutions that make a difference to Veterinarians and the patients they treat. These are delivered through our customer service, technical support, account managers and warehouse teams”.

For further information on the POCT analysers, including brochures and pricing, interested parties can contact VPG via an email to [email protected] or by calling +44 (0) 1425 461466.
